How to Measure Average Depth for Variable-Depth Pools

A 20,000-gallon pool holds approximately 75,700 liters. To convert gallons to liters, multiply by 3.785. To go the other direction, divide liters by 3.785 to get gallons.

Chlorine dosing. Liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) is typically dosed at 1 gallon per 10,000 gallons of pool water to raise free chlorine by about 5 ppm.
